Lauded by Dublab at home and Mary Anne Hobbs over on the other continent Depakote came to the attention of Neckbreakers via a live performance in South Central LA. A crazy haul for this Garden Grove Native, but that shows Depakote's crazy dedication to music (sounds about right for a guy that named himself after such a crazy pharmaceutical). Depakote started as a pop and locker, which explains how "Villain" snaps like no other. What can't be explained is how this beatmaker crafts such wonderful sonic narratives, full of glitchy hits and techy soul.
